I'm working on a painting. It's going slowly, because I only have three art studio periods a week, and I'm a slow painter. But it's kind of interesting, a visual interpretation of Birdhouse In Your Soul (CTY, squee!) If I remember, it will appear on here when it's finished.

Lancaster is love. I took MIND last year and will hopefully do cogpsych first session '07.

Was the Alcove around at Lancaster in '01?

The alcove started in '01. When I was there in '99, I think LLRT was transitioning to Eish and then in '01 they became the alcove, which is when I joined up. The best part about alcove, and lancaster as a whole, is the amazing sense of tradition everyone seems to have. Unfortunately, working at a younger camp we don't get to impose as many traditions on them (I suppose the dance to Bizarre Love Triangle wouldn't be as appropriate) and they dont appreciate them as much. That doesn't mean we tried though

The girl in the picture "Sploosh" also went to lancaster I think... in fact, she might have been an RA there this past summer... I forget which site she chose to work at. Either way, if you happen to meet her, she's definitely a cool person to get to know.

I don't recognize her, but Lancaster is so big that it's quite possible she was there.

I love the CTY traditions... people are always complaining about how they change, but I don't see that as a bad thing, and some of them will always remain (like American Pie!) The administration is screwing some of them up, though... last summer they banned grass orgies and (to some extent) string raving.

Odd... I wonder on what grounds they managed to ban grass orgies... I don't remember anything about string raving in 2001. I'm assuming this is just raving with strings? What's wrong with strings over glowsticks?
